Purpose
To foster, preserve and defend the common interests
of the churches in Detroit and its Greater Metropolitan area, which
hold membership in The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod; to foster and
support Christian education; to foster and support charities and to
publish The Detroit Lutheran, the official newspaper of the corporation;
to operate a Lutheran bookstore; and further engage in such enterprises
as may be of service to or for the benefit of the Lutheran clergy and
laity of Greater Detroit.
